Work? Boring? HELL F***ING, YES!

Dammit! Why does no-one want to eat on Good Friday?!?!
I've just had to sit at work pretending TO work. There was like no one there today, I had naff all to do >.<>ded that they wanted another beer (Woopty f**king doo... -.- pfft...).

Work was so boring that I made a stop motion video (well... not JUST one... A couple...).
They're crap, random and you can see it when I bother editing it :P , but here's a couple of piccy's to wet your appetite :)

-I call it "Ode to snake and frogger", complete with origami models and random sex scenes (ask Angela - she's the criminal mastermind of the sex scenes o.O)

One thing I hate about going home is the missing stuff @ uni when I'm not there. So far, it's been tour and pretty soon, the allstar tryouts =( To think, all I've come back to are problems and work >.<>.<)

Well until someone reminds me I have a blog, have fun.

Lazy?! Me?!?! Yup... >.<

Heh, It's been a while since I've blogged. Got so much to say, lol! Start off with a Woop! It's the last day of the spring term!!! So it's time to celebrate Happy-Hollow-Chocolate-Egg-ness (or the holiday formally known as Easter). I've got a tonne of coursework to do, but I'm not bothered. Why? Because all it involves is programming a simple version of WORMS and a POOL game (YAY! More fun games!).

This term, I've actually learnt some interesting things (woo!), but theres so many of them, I'm not going to bother with listing it all. Let's just say that I can program in C++ and can do funky graphics in OpenGL =) Ooh, another amazing thing is that I've somehow made it to the UK finals for Microsoft's imagine cup. Got drafted into a team with an amazing idea and we're gonna go to finals in Reading and kick ass ^_^)

I think I went out waaaay too much for my own good (blames a certain person with an icy persona). I've been out far more in this one term, then I have in the whole of last term and last year combined. Tbh, it's not really an achievement, but that's just because I'm boring, heh. Something that is of an achievement, however, is that I've been to my first ever lawns party (Yay! Bin Juice!). It's Nice!

On the American Footy side of things, I'm now secretary of the club (woo?). No one else went for it (no one else went for anything, lazy asses), so I thought I'd give Wildman a break from all the shit and give it a go. Only problem is that I'm still not entirely sure what I'm meant to be doing .

On a lighter note, we made it to the northern plate finals (Woop!), although I have no idea how we got there.
We faced derby and lost 2-6, which isn't bad, considering we held on for 4 hours (4 FREAKING HOURS!!!) and most of the team are of rookies (like me! =)) We had the weirdest match weather ever, it was like going to a freezing cold beach, with the Sun, Sea (rain) and Sand (freaking hail!). We stopped them dead, gained yards and blocked like crazy and were winning by a safety right until the last minute of the 3rd quarter where they got a lucky try (grrr). Good things came out of that match, I now know that we're halfway to where we want to be AND I think I actually know what I'm meant to do now!!! Sadly, I think I've lost my position as Defensive End -sigh- and there's no more training (gym'ing time! (yay?)) -double sigh- >.<

------------ BEWARE BORING EMO DEPRESSING PART -------------
Ever get to the point, where you feel that you're failing in life? Lately, I'm not even sure if I'm fit for uni and the whole living on your own thing. I know I'm sounding a little melodramatic, but half the time I don't understand the lecturers or my subject and I'm finding that I can't even support myself. I mean I still haven't got myself a job and all my work confuses me. I've only got myself to blame for all this, maybe if I wasn't so much of a lazy artard I could actually succeed as opposed to failing.
------------- END OF BDP (the rest should be less emo) --------------

Well Easter it is, hate going home. No doubt I'll probably forget everyone's names, before I get back. Well I've got to wake up early for an AGM tomorrow (oh joy!) HAPPY-HOLLOW-CHOCOLATE-EGG-HOLIDAY EVERYONE

MVP?!

Mmmm... Today, I'm feeling like shit... but it's a good type of shit :)

Weird way to start, I know, but it could be something to do with the fact that we won(yes, as hard to believe as it is) yesterdays match 30-0 against Lincoln Yesterday(woop!). Rich got his first pass Touchdown, Matt, Tait and Wareing got the TD's(or conversions... I think that was everyone...), Quinno managed to tackle the ball carrier(in his first match, as well!) and Ducky caught an amazing pass!!! I managed to get 2 sacks to their QB, played the whole game without feeling tired (weird... o.O). Legs kill now though, but you gotta love the feeling of adrenalin(natures painkiller and power source) when it kicks in during a game :).

Still need a lot of practice though, as I made a whole load of mistakes, but I somehow managed to stay on my feet a lot more than usual. I could have sworn some weird force was keeping me up through the match as I was sent flying many times, but I somehow ended up on my legs as opposed to my ass(or on my face) and vaguely facing the direction of the ball...

The coach ride home was weird too! Everyone was surprisingly chilled compared to Teeside (where we lost), no random singing... It's probably because everyone was tired, I know I couldn't think of anything but sleep when I sat down(one of the disadvantages of giving your heart and soul to a game, I guess).

Afterwards, most of us went for drinks at Sanctuary(Student bar of champions) for awards and things. I somehow got awarded MVP(Most Valuable Player of the Match), along with Jay Jay and GP... Just how the hell that happened I have not a clue, especially seeing as all my team mates did so much better then I did(!!!). Beginning to think that MVP stands for "Most Valuable Pretender", seeing as I've only started this sport like 4-5 months ago and get confused half the time (usually leading to me f**king up...).

It was superbowl night too(Woo! -cheers for a game he barely understands-), and the team got invited to a lock-in with the hornets. Everyone was brimming with excitement! Big screens, drinks flowing, Colts vs. Bears, American football and a mad cheerleader in GP's pads. The scene was set for one amazing night!

But... Sadly I can't remember most of it... Spent my time trying to watch the game, but being stupidly drained, I practically fell asleep and missed most of the 1st and 2nd quarters :(. Left halfway, but I can still remember what (very little) of the game I saw. The amazing opening Kickoff Return TD for the bears(Ducky won the sweepstakes because of this!) and some of the stupidly amazing runs by both teams running backs! I left at half-time, and somehow stumbled home.

Anyhoo... Got labs to go to(yay =/). Until the next time, take care.

No updates?!

Erm... Funny story this.
I started writing the blogpost about a week back, but I've been busy(lazy), so it aint finished yet, heh.
It's probably going to end up being very big, although I guess I could always split it up and back-date it, but then that'll just look weird (or not weird, who knows?).

At the moment, I'm supposed to be tidying up for tomorrow, but my arms and shoulders hurt from the gym and I've got a blogpost to write(and chickens can't fly and I need a diaper changing and I've got green hair, etc, etc, etc... Oh the joy of making up excuses...).
Just got back from town with a bunch of Chinese foodstuffs (soy sauce, Chinese vegetables, Chinese air, chinese water (you know, like the ordinary stuff, only Chinese)) for tomorrow when Frosty, Paddy and J are popping round for food.
I should really learn not to agree to stuff when inebriated in any way (shape/form), Heh! I went to town (literally) with the food. Just hope I can remember how to cook it!
I think I'm beginning to get my WoW addiction back... I was planning on being in bed at about midnight last night, because I felt like shit, but a friend gave me a call and I ended up playing WoW till 8am this morning! Definitely not good on the body.

Well, I guess I better be getting back to tidying up (and perhaps making dinner).
Hopefully I can finish the previous blog before I die, heh.
Until next time (or previous time, it depends which post comes first >.<).

Fine China and an FOB

I went on a random trip to Wembley today with the parents. They needed to pick some stuff up for the new place and someone suggested Ikea to them. We ended up getting lost in Wembley for an hour trying to find the place, because my godbrother decided to use his own map (we left the google directions at home >.<). I think we drove past the new Wembley arena about 4 times today. (The place is HUGE and looks absolutely amazing from the front! Can't wait until they finally finish it.) When we finally got to Ikea, everyone was shocked at the size of it. It was my first time seeing one, I mean I've heard stories (some involving young children and grown men, I won't go into any further details), but this was rediculous, there can't be that amount of furnishings in the world.

The carpark was massive as well, although it took us ages to find a place to park. We put it down to the fact that people were using it for the Tesco's nearby (I think we drove past that 3 times), surely not this many people were interested in home furnishings and such-like.

With the grace of a beached whale, I waltzed in, only to be greeted by a food court (Salvation after a 2 hour drive). Of course, the prospect of cheap and tasty hotdogs did not deter me from the art of picking out fine dinnerware (well, 1 of them didn't, now the other 5...). Spent quite a while browsing through the hoards of stuff they had, it seemed like they had everything you've ever wanted in your home (including the kitchen sink!!!). It's like some magical forest, where kitchen tables roamed free and pillows would stalk fishslices through a valley of Ming vases, while picture frame's would caw perched on their makeshift extension wire trees and baby wax fruit would swing from lighting fixture to lighting fixture all to get into the harmony of the sorted sock draw that is Ikea (meh, I have a big imagination). In the end, we spent about £300 on a couple of nice plates, bowls and a wok along with some other miscilaneous items.

After that, we went to London China Town and I got to act like a proper FOB (albeit the fact that my Chinese was crap). Had some munch then took a look around. It's exciting to go browse the shops and things just to see how it differs from my western norm. Havn't been here in the past 2 years, it's weird to see how everythings changed. It was sad to see a couple of the shops I frequent gone, but they've been replaced by some cool new ones.

If you ever get the chance to go, I recommend going to China China for food (Salt & Pepper Pork Chop with Rice, Mmmm...) and then trying a Pearl Milk tea at the tea shop by the pagoda meeting point :) It's also close to the London Trocadero, so you can have fun in "funland" (the arcade with the really big esacallators).

I'm being dragged off to WoW (god that game is addictive). Till the next post, take care.

New Year :)

Right it's like 5 am in the morning, but it is officially 2007!!! (woo!) The time for new and exciting things to happen and tonnes of exciting things to look forward to. Hope everyone enjoyed new year's eve :). I spent it doing family things, mainly eating, playing cards, drinking too much wine and falling asleep (missed the countdown altogether, doh!).

Mad week for me (exciting news followed by more boring things, yay!). Spent most of my time doing family things like bonding, tidying up and shopping. My family absolutely love the latter. I've probably been to more shopping outlets this week than I've been to for the past 5 years. Shopping Outlets are scary places (even more so, when those famous 4 letters appear in shops). There's like a million people in one place, you can hardly move and they're all fighting to buy exactly the same items (o.O).

This week seems to be a week for seeing people. Yesterday, I met up with a friend from college. She currently goes to the Royal School of Arts. She's so talented with her textiles work it's amazing! We went for a coffee and played a couple of games in the arcade. It was fun, but she kicked my ass at pool. Got her to play on the DDR machine though, she's still a beginner, so maybe it wasn't too good an idea (Hopefully I didn't manage to embaress her too much >.<).

Also, I managed to see someone who I havn't seen in the past 6 years (and havn't properly spoken to since primary school!). It's weird not seeing anyone for the past 9 years and having a chat (It's hard enough to think of what to say when you see someone everyday). Stood in the middle of Debenhams and talked for about an hour. She's studying medicine at Cambridge at the moment. She doing all sorts of cool stuff, although she's got tonnes of work to do. She's changed quite a lot and well, definately got good looking (hehe).

Well I think I might go some more sleep. Time to think of a New Years resolution that I don't intend to keep. Hope you all have a great New Year :)
